Sea Vision headquarters, Pavia, Italy
Drainpanel was chosen to construct the rainwater lamination basin at Sea Vision headquarters in Pavia, Italy, effectively reducing the project’s carbon footprint.
The new Sea Vision headquarters, designed by Bertoletti+Greco Architects, featured a 3-storey technological campus on a 6.000 m2 plot. The project included 4.000 m2 of office space dedicated to research, development, and production.
The design strongly emphasized sustainable construction, integrating environmentally conscious technologies wherever possible. In line with the project’s sustainability goals, Drainpanel offered multiple advantages compared to alternatives like gravel:
- Modules made of 100 % recycled plastic,
- Stackability for 75 times lower storage and transportation,
- Fast and easy manual setup by simply pressing the modules together,
- 96 % void percentage for 3 times better retention capacity,
- 23 cm height adaptable to shallow excavation depths.
To maximize energy efficiency, the project incorporated zero-emission technologies, including photovoltaic panels, rainwater recycling, and domotic lighting systems.
